Kite Patch is a product of ieCrowd‘s Olfactor Laboratories, Inc . (OLI). OLI is developing a range of new technologies and products that leverage the company’s patent-pending technologies capable of blocking mosquitoes’ ability to detect C02, among other new developments. Considered a breakthrough in the fight against mosquito-borne diseases, the Kite technology platform is comprised of a range of products in development for use globally in the effort to protect humans from mosquitoes. As an ieCrowd company, OLI benefits from ieCrowd’s business infrastructure and platform for scaling market-driven products to solve global challenges, such as malaria, Dengue, Yellow Fever, and West Nile. OLI’s original intellectual property was licensed from the University of California Riverside (UCR), where the research benefitted from grants from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. OLI has since filed for four patents and benefits from collaborations with the USDA, U.S. Army, multiple non-profits, foundations, consortiums, and governments.

The Kite Patch is being designed to be a significant advancement in the global fight against mosquitoes and mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria, West Nile Virus and Dengue Fever. It is designed to be durable and easy-to-use for a range of climates and conditions around the world.
Kite Patch is the world’s first product containing our breakthrough scientific discovery scientifically proven to disrupt the mosquito’s carbon dioxide neurons. The Kite Patch’s compounds act as a non-topical, spatial repellent, blocking mosquitoes’ ability to detect carbon dioxide – their primary method of tracking human blood meals.
Kite Patch is being designed to replace age-old, cumbersome, and potentially unhealthy mosquito repellents with an easy-to-use, powerful, and long-lasting sticker applied to clothing. Kite Patch is being designed to protect for individuals throughout an individual’s normal daily activities.
Kite Patch’s technology stems from scientific developments initially developed at the University of California, Riverside with assistance from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the National Institutes of Health.
Our company’s work on the Kite Patch technology platform – including additional patent-pending applications we’ve filed – is currently benefitting from an additional NIH grant, collaborative testing agreements with the U.S. Army’s Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, the USDA, and other organizations via grants and collaborative agreements.
